Welcome Shawn Brown!




The Advocacy Center welcomes Shawn Brown as an Advocate. Shawn has a Bachelor of Arts in Education and twelve years of experience working with people who have disabilities.  Shawn’s  focus at The Advocacy Center is on helping families of children with emotional and behavioral needs obtain an appropriate education and services. He feels a strong commitment to the city of Rochester and loves supporting individuals and families as they pursue their dreams. Shawn has a twelve year old daughter named Tianna.

The Advocacy Center is a New York State Parent Training and Information Center (PTIC), serving all of New York except the 5 boroughs of New York City. The PTIC is funded through a grant from the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education.
