A crowd of three hundred enjoyed the music of Wycliffe Gordon and Jimmie Highsmith, Jr. at The Advocacy Center's second annual "Night of Hot Jazz and Cool Art" on May 12, 2007. The Memorial Art Gallery, a new venue this year, was decked out in black, white, and lilac, and provided a lovely backdrop for the evening's festivities. Some very competitive, but friendly, bidding made for a lively silent auction. Our net proceeds for the event topped $16,000, which is a 30% increase over last year's total. Many thanks to Wycliffe and Jimmie!  Thank you to our corporate sponsors: Wachovia Securities, Faraci Lange, LLP, Key Bank, Preferred Care, WROC 8,  and Wegmans.    Thanks, also, to the in-kind donors, artists, well-wishers, and the many volunteers who helped to make the event a success!

Save the date for our next jazz event on Friday, May 9, 2008!
