OPWDD Seeks Nominations for Employment Awards

The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is requesting nominations from any person or organization interested in honoring a business or employer who has hired an individual with a developmental disability. We seek nominations that demonstrate that employees with developmental disabilities meet the workforce needs of the employer and contribute to the vitality of each business. We are looking for stories that demonstrate the power of work in a person’s life. We would like to receive nominations written from the viewpoint of the employee with a developmental disability.

The deadline for nominations is June 10, 2011.  Please visit the OPWDD website for more information.
