Julie Buick joins The Advocacy Center




As a parent of children with disabilities, Julie knows the challenges of navigating the education system. Julie has helped parents gain knowledge about resources, community inclusion, and advocacy. Julie’s work history includes Residence Counselor, VP of Operations for UNYFEAT, Chapter Advocacy Chair for Autism Speaks, Administrator on Duty and coordinator of disability related programs for children, teens, and families at the Pieters Family Life Center. Julie’s background is early childhood development. She is a Lay Advocate, a Partners in Policymaking graduate, and a speaker for The Advocacy Center’s Speakers Bureau. Julie states, “It is an honor and privilege to be part of The Advocacy Center’s team and making a difference in our community.”
