Ending Use of the R word

The Advocacy Center is joining with people all over the world to take a stand against use of use of the r-word. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 is the official Spread the Word to End the Word Day. Words like “retard” or “retarded” are offensive, hurtful and demeaning to individuals who have disabilities. The Advocacy Center invites you to join the movement, take a stand, and end the use of the r-word. To learn more and to take the pledge, please go to http://www.r-word.org/.
