Disability Awareness Presented for Youth Voice One Vision

Members of Youth Voice One Vision (YVOV) participated in disability awareness activities on May 25, 2010 at the Danforth Community Center in Rochester. The youths had the opportunity to navigate a wheelchair obstacle course, try out adaptive equipment, and participate in exercises designed to increase their understanding of what it is like to live with a disability.   Colleen Brown, Public Education Coordinator, and Joe Goyos, Coordinator of The Family School Partnership at The Advocacy Center, worked in collaboration with the staff at YVOV to organize the event.
