As a child, do you remember those long, hazy days of summer leaving early in the morning and playing outside until dinner time?  Do you remember the joys of digging to China, building forts and tree houses, making dandelion necklaces and finding pictures in the cloud formations? Ever wonder why children of today’s generation do not play outside and what effects this is having on their development? Did you know that this “nature deprivation” has been linked to ADHD, sensory deficits, and childhood obesity rates?

If you are a parent, or if you work with children, you will want to take advantage of this conference being hosted by CP Rochester’s Augustin Children’s Center. Sharon Krull, author, trainer and play guru will have you Movin’ and Groovin’ and understanding the benefits and value of outdoor play.
