Autism Website Launched



The Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RRCASD) was established in 2007 and is one of 6 centers in New York State, coordinated by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Regional Center located at SUNY Albany.  The RRCASD, which is affiliated with the University of Rochester's Department of Pediatrics and the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities, provides information, education, and technical assistance to families, professionals, and schools/agencies residing or working within the Rochester Finger Lakes region about models of best-practice in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that are informed by research.

The Advocacy Center is a New York State Parent Training and Information Center (PTIC), serving all of New York except the 5 boroughs of New York City. The PTIC is funded through a grant from the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education.
