One hundred eighteen people attended "Building Community from the Inside Out," a full day conference featuring Al Condeluci, Ph.D. Dr. Condeluci is the Chief Executive Officer of UCP Pittsburgh and the author of several books on the topic of cultural shifting. Attendees learned about "expanding the parameters of acceptance" to allow individuals with developmental disabilities to be successfully included in the mainstream of life and the role each of us can play as a "positive gatekeeper." The audience included individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, and professionals.
